What It Was

City Walk Orlando is a multi-acre "Urban Entertainment" complex with nightclubs, restaurants, cinemas and retail stores at Universal Studios Florida. It acts as the gateway to the Studio Tour and Islands of Adventure Theme Park.

Has Pat O'Briens, Bob Marley Niteclub, "The Groove" Rock Club, Jazz Club, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, outdoor stages, and water features.

What We Did

Lightswitch was responsible for theatrical lighting elements including four interior stages, a Dance floor, an exterior stage, and multiple buildings and exterior trusses. All exterior lighting was coordinated through a central control system near the "E-Jay" where the entire City Walk environment is able to change with the touch of a button.

Why It Worked

Lightswitch collaborated with Universal Creative, Joe Kaplan Architectural Lighting and Sussman Prezja to create lighting that was integrated into the architectural design.
