What It Was

Every two years, the McDonalds Corporation stages a truly massive event – all 18,000 global owners and operators are invited to convene for three days of business meetings, exhibits, training and entertainment. Lightswitch has been proud to light the tremendous general session gatherings since 1998.

What We Did

The meetings needed to accommodate an ‘arena’ sized audience, while establishing a profoundly intimate setting. The meeting balances high-energy entertainment with introspective personal tributes. In order to support this richly innovative experience, Lightswitch designed multiple systems of automated fixtures, seamlessly integrated into the scenic and video designs.

Why It Worked

By combining relentless planning and extensive use of pre-visualization technology, Lightswitch meticulously facilitated the creative development and responded to on-site variables, both creatively and financially.
