JC Penney Jam

What It Was

The JC Penney Jam was a televised concert hosted by Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw and music-directed by David Foster to raise awareness of the need for access to quality after school programs. It provided funds so that more working families could have access to these programs. Performers included Martina McBride, 3 Doors Down, Andrea Bochelli, and Kenny Chesney, to name a few.

What We Did

Executive Visions, Inc. brought Lightswitch on board with a team of experienced designers and producers for this event. Working with television crews, the artists, and producers, Lightswitch brought each performer a unique look that defined their time on stage.

Why It Worked

Television, live event, entertainment, and special event lighting all played a part in this elaborate show. We blended techniques together seamlessly to provide the best show for both the audience members watching it live, and the television audience watching it on CBS.
